Fusion Reggae clip of non-HRM w/BM power amp - OD tone

Post by dogears »

This is an older Fuchs 100 that I have upgraded to SLX and been prototyping on, and my Glaswerks small 1X12 w/G1265. I close miced with both an SM57 and Royer R121. Blended. The amp is non HRM and I used the BM style feedback, presence, and PI. Recorded not too loud btw.

I was going for a horn type phrasing thing here....

I thought I'd clarify my comment about "horn phrasing". I guess I meant jazzy horn influenced phrasing as opposed to exactly like horn.... I mentioned horns at all since the playing was so not Eric Clapton style (which I don't care for, so no snide comments please) LOL

Posted above for a certain saxophone playing forumite. ;)

values

2 questions
1 - on the ODS 101 non hrm schem - are the values in blue print alternative values?
2 - dogears - what values are you using at-(a) mid boost switch(340,350,390??pf) (b)-master volume bright cap (15pf)? (c)-150-220k?? at entrance to OD? (d)- are you using the (i think you called it) the low gain entrance to OD printed in blue that says "place before od in network" ?
thanks
ps: great tone!!

This is a basic non HRM. There is a 15pf on the master. Pre-od net is standard 220K into 100K. 100k and 180K before od pots.

I guess the blue means alternate..lol I need to go loook at it.

Thanks for listening.

Very nice! How close is the TDS100 to what you have. My sn# is higher than 1000.

Very nice, I like the mellow high end. Can the BM style feedback, presence, and PI do clean well? I'd like to try that but I need my clean rhythms.
