Cardboard - flat and dull . Goes “ dud “. Low harmonic content and excitement
Shrill - abrasive and painful high frequencies . Annoys more than icepick , higher frequency , not as urgently distressing
Dog/Pig/Hog- beastly powerful and unforgiving.

To "extend" what Whopperplate mentioned early on...
Woody: Two categorical possibilities with all its permutations: that hallmark, vintage Marshall tone that grinds forth either out of Greenbacks-speaking-cranked-Plexi, or even a cranked 18-watter being log-jammed mercilessly through an unsuspecting-yet-willing Celestion Blue, bravely presenting that unmistakable mid-range peak that beckons ass-shaking, and raised arms in rock and roll praise.
OR
a biological response to said tones upon which I need not elaborate further.

Just plug it in, man.

"Louder than Satan!": A phrase used by Ozzy Osbourne to describe the volume of Zakk Wylde's guitar amp.

Haven't seen jangle/jangly mentioned = what people writing for guitar mags think Vox amps sound like.
"Hey mister, turn it on, turn it up, turn me loose!"

Syrupy: smooth, flowing, slightly overdriven, lacking in pick attack and clear definition, and when overused, annoying.

Pure/true - transparent response resembling an acoustic instrument. Clear fundamental tone. Generally Low distortion . a tone many spend their life chasing on electric guitar, only to inevitably give up and realize they can just play acoustic guitar instead.
Verge of Explosion - Dimed Marshall jtm100 black flag. Also can also just mean any overly saturated overdriven tone at any volume that offends girlfriends , grandmas, and hipsters .
Fake - any tone that comes from any emulator/modeler/simulator . Characterized by something just not feeling right, no matter how stellar the performance . Generally preferred by bands who play live with backing tracks, who can only afford to pay their sound engineers, instead of roadies to haul real amplifiers.

No mention yet of the "woman tone." If you are too young to know what this is, here at about 1:54

I guess it's not really amp content, but it is dependent on the signal chain.

Strident - In your face . Loud , bold, and even harsh . I am not talking about chewing gum …or am I?
Stiff - More of a feeling. Strong uncompressed attack that’s generally unforgiving to play. Typical of higher power filtering and clean high power amplifiers that only SRV can tame.
Honk - cutting midrange frequencies that modelers/emulators can’t accurately reproduce.
Balls - cutting low end frequencies that modelers/emulators can’t accurately reproduce.

Yep, "Swirl".
Mystical complexity invoked by the Devine sonic source of all creation. Have that, and you need not want for more.
