Fender Deluxe Reverb. Hands down.

Fender Twin Reverb is the most used stage and studio amplifier to date it's the SM57 of amps. with the right FX, room, Microphone, Preamp, or volume level it can be anything you want it to be....

Versatile? seems broad I have a Soldano Decatone 3 ch amp ( clean / crunch / drive ) that is versatile, yet very thick in trademark soldano tone. that kind of versatile?

If I had to leave the house to play a gig, not knowing what sort of music or where, I would either take the 90's Fender Concert or the modded Marshall 4104 with the 2x12 extension cab. The Fender would be less likely to scare others and has channel switching. The Marshall is capable of brootulz or a really good clean, but not in the same song.

My Tophat CR is the most versitile that I can speak to... I've owned Marshall, Fender, Mesa... If by versitile you mean tone variation, then the Tophat wins my vote - further qualified in that it's a single channel amp with such a broad range.

I just voted for mesa boogie.
I used to own a Mark IV and I must say I liked it's sound a lot.
IMHO this amp is the most versatile. (besides moddeling amps  )
Why I sold it? It was to heavy, way to loud and I just didn't need all those different sounds. (and needed money for my ampbuilding addiction  )

Yes, clean/crunch/drive or lead being the elements we are voting for all in the same amp.

That's a list of manufacturers (except for the Dumb Ell), not amps.
There exists considerable variation within product lines, for example is a Tweed Champ comparable to the Twin Reverb?

Deluxe Reverb.
It takes pedals so well, and it is generally loud enough to do any job.

The list is a starting point for discussion. With over 10,000 combos to list I thought I'd put down a few brands. Thanks for showing me the obvious.

Here's another vote for the Fender DeluxeReverb (Blackface).
It was touted as Aspen Pittman's "Desert Island" amp; one of the few times I agreed with him...Tom

You can't answer a question that is an oxymoron. If I voted Fender it wouldn't mean a damn thing.

So If you like Fender then vote for Fender. You might even post which one you like so everyone can laugh at you.

 Fender isn't an amp.
