Anyone have an amplitrex tube tester?

Post by AtomCap »

Title says it all - I've got one, lost the disc with the software, contacting the company is impossible- I've called and emailed numerous times over the last 5 months and no response.. it would be easier to speak to with the president.. if someone can iso/upload to an ftp ( I have mulitple) it I'd be willing to make a small venmo, google pay..
such a frustrating company to deal with , have to resort to this to get the software, not sure why they just dont have a download with a password or something..

can't you just re-download the software here:

http://amplitrex.com/included-software/

and get the user manual here:

http://amplitrex.com/user-manuals/

or is your model an older one using different software?

Unless I'm totally blind, there are no download links on the included software page.

We do have an older AT1000, it uses RS232 no biggie, its really annoying because I've got like 2000+ tubes to ebay off and they should be tested for best $$$ boom..

Gah their page tricked me, I didn't need to download them, but I did try the page and it seemed 'right' on view, but they're just telling you what they 'provide' sigh. super lame

Its ridiculous - that page is such a troll!!

The AT1000 tester is great - its not as ballistic as a TV7 but its great for quick testing and its extremely utilitarian..

Service wise its a joke!

Member selloutr has one. See this thread.

I haven't seen him around here in quite a while. Maybe there is a way to get hold of him?
Private messages work, but not like they used to. I don't believe the recipient gets a notification these days.

Thanks Phil, I shot him a PM..
Hopefully something surfaces - would be nice to be able to print results, curves etc..
If it bottoms out - i'm gonna liquidate the tester and refurbish my TV7 and just go old school..

Sellout hasn’t been around for quite a while (5 years), left in kind of a huff, and since e-mail notifications aren’t working, I doubt he’ll see your pm. You might try a post on the DIY Audio forum and see if anyone there can help.

You will just have to check in regularly when expecting a response.

I'm a web guy, that runs good own email servers, but since I don't control the domain, I can't fix it.

if you find it let me know - we can do a drop box, google doc, or FTP, no need to mail it around! The files are small, I think its like 82mb...

Thanks!

I'm sorry to say that my wife tried to organize/clean my workshop and the cd got moved and cannot be found at the moment. If it shows up I'll let you know.
