That's what happens when you have a bunch of kids suddenly become "techs" and setting stuff up.

Helping my father-in-law buy an amp so he can putz around with his acoustic and hear him self while his buddy is playing the piano. It had to be cheap of course. Saw some little 15w SS Fender cheapo guitar amp that seemed to fit the bill. The guy behind the counter said he was familiar with it so I asked how it sounded for clean sounds, "Well, my room mate played his bass through it and it usually sounded pretty distorted."

I can see why stuff went up in flames.
