New Princeton Reverb build
Mostly Mojo stuff chassis, transformers, cab, speaker, foot switch, etc.
Had a lot of the caps and resistors and cloth wire already so put one together.

Thanks guys,
She is very sweet with Tele.

Re: New Princeton Reverb build
Looks great Mark, and very nice with the tele. I had to slow down the tremolo on mine, and speaking of the 6L6 version, I had done that mod to the Princeton I built, but changed it back to the 6V6 version a couple of weeks ago. I think I'll leave it there. I left in the extra filtering, and think that helps. Cool grab and go amps.
Re: New Princeton Reverb build
Thanks. I played it yesterday for 10 minutes until I got the stink eye from my wife.
I am in the process of collecting faceplate and cab with correct silver face grille cloth to build a Fender 68 Custom Princeton Reverb as well. Got the schematic for that and want to see about the differences.
These amps should sell locally it's what they been asking for but that doesn't mean a thing.

Do you know if the PR single triode vibrato will work with 6L6's?
And if it's not strong enough, have you considered using a mosfet in place of a second triode?
With respect, 10thtx

Re: New Princeton Reverb build
Great looking build, Mark! Is that a current production Jensen speaker? And if so, how does ir compare to the ones Fender used in the 60's? Does it sound just as great?

Re: New Princeton Reverb build
I have one of the re-issue Jensen goldbacks in my 6G2. I like it a lot. I haven't pulled an original speaker out of my Vibrolux Reverb to compare head to head, but it is definitely in the ball park.
Re: New Princeton Reverb build
I like this new production Jensen in this stock PR very much sounds great.
I'm building a Weber 6A14HP Princeton reverb kit which uses 6L6 power tubes and Deluxe transformers. Videos on youtube shows the circuit works quite well.
The cab is taller and uses 12" speaker.
