Hi 10thTx

There are still bugs in your layout. :(

The NFB should be connected to turret 19, on pin 7 of V2.

Also the transformer connections have to be made with more care. As it stands, the NFB turns into PFB, and the amplifier gets noisy, and some oscillations. Follow the schematic exactly to make these connections correctly.

Cheers.

Thank you again for the corrections. I edited the previous post again. As an FYI, I have no plans to build this amp. I thought it was an interesting and creative design that had some features that I had not seen before & so the schematic and layout were my way of trying to see the topology. And I liked the YouTubes that I saw.

Hopefully, someone can sort it out with your excellent schematic as a reference. I posted the editable SCH version of the layout so anyone can edit it to suit their needs.

With respect, 10thtx

So it would appear that James posted the schematic up for the JTM/JCM1 in this thread, unfortunately the link is now dead

http://ax84.com/bbs/dm.php?thread=460389

I don't suppose anyone was fortunate enough to grab a copy?

I'm working on a turret layout for the JCM1 without diode clipping and an additional tube instead of the LND150 purely as it'll be a neater layout.
It'd be rude not to make the other half of the tube a switchable gain stage right?

Really! This scheme was for a short time with the active link.

And it would have been lost, were it not for our good friends, who did the favor of keeping the file for us:

We might as well save it here too :)

Edit: Removed as the new version is a lot bigger/clearer.

Thanks, guess I was just seeing a cropped version, that one's a lot better, removed mine, as it's less useful :)

Yeah for some reason the site cropped it slightly, even if you opened it fully in another tab. Weird.

Has anyone built one of these amps yet. They are rather cool. I'm surprised there aren't Chinese knock offs available yet.

Nice to see the development this thread has done!
If you all agree, we can collect all the updated informations in one post, then add a direct link to that post in my first post, to let everyone go straight to the informations. What do you think?

I can't believe I never found the link....I vaguely remember looking through the handmade site, but I did so when I was tired and obviously never thought of it again.

I have not decided if I am going with a circuit board design or a turret board layout... I have built a couple of pedals a long time ago, but I have never built an amp with a circuit board. So I am not really sure which way I want to go.

Just wanted to thank Matec and everyone else that have posted and kept schematics and layouts active.

Has anyone built the amp using the Classic Tone transformer set?
