Ya, but what about all the unshielded cable inside your walls? Shielding the last 6ft will remove all that. It's not high impedance.

In the hifi world there are a lot of shielded cables, power and interconnects, offered, there are also a lot of people that think shielding is bad. Kimber interconnect like PBJ is all about not having shielding. Some of the flat earth companies like Naim strongly recommend against using shielded IECs like the ones for computers. IME you can loose some sparkle, some life. Got to make up your own mind, and this is guitar amps so it's an other world.
