Hi guys, I wanted to build a small combo,
with a low wattage speaker, but still using a guitar speaker, so this started around a jensen mod 6". I also wanted to build a real tube amp (not using subminiature tubes and SMPS) but i wanted more gain that a 5W amp. As I already build a High Octane, I found that this TMC1 was a nice try, I already had the tubes and the transformer, so why not?
My grandfather helped me finding some nice old wood that he had laying around and I also tried the finger joint, but as you can see, it wen't wrong.
I'm bad with the saw now I know it!
Well, i tried to fill the failed holes...but they're still there as a remainder that I need to buy some tools...
The circuit was developed by DvNator at the tone per buck forum from Wattkins, and I liked the idea of a small trainwreck. I never played/saw one before, so excuse me if it's not even close to one, but i liked the high gain distortion and it get's clean with the guitar volume, that's also nice!
It uses a ECL84 and a 12ax7, and a 10k OT, but I'm using a 5k OT like DvNator. I had these OT with 2,4 8 and 16 ohms taps, so very nice to make some testing.
Recently I saw a lot of videos about old low wattage tube amplifiers, and like the idea of this old schematics that came with the amps, I tried that too...
And now the pictures:

That's SUPER cute, man. Can you post a link to the schematic?

Re: DvNator's TMC1
Very nice! Looks like a fun amp. I played one of Dvnator's wreck style amps a few years ago, I think it was a 10 watt push pull based on a Russian power tube. It definitely had a ton of the wreck qualities we admire so much.

Nice!
I love low watt little amps.

Nice small combo.
Re: DvNator's TMC1
Great job on the amp Thomas! The cab reminds me of Marshall JTM but with a nice woody Trainwreck look.

katopan came up with that one.
Jackie, next time you're in Vegas you can try this one too. I'll buy the Wild Turkey!
