Hi Ron,Ron Worley wrote:That's really good to know. We have one on the Fort Worth side, down by 121 just east of 35W. Forget the name.
If you can dig up the name it would be great. When I search on hardwood in Texas I get lots of foreign [ain't Texas] sources. If I won the lottery one of the items on the list is to go to the NE and buy lots o' wood!

I sand to 220 with a good orbital then I slurry sand 320 & 400 with a 66/33 mixture of boiled linseed oil and mineral spirits. Then I apply more of the mixture until the wood spits it back. A bit 0000 steel wool to polish and done.
One thing I love about the oil finish is the ease of steaming out dings and filling with epoxy the big ones and then sand and reoil the spot.
