Blackface Deluxe Reverb build

Post by M Fowler »

Single channel BF Deluxe Reverb with mid pot.

Using blank Princeton Reverb chassis from Seaside Amps, custom Mojotone faceplate with middle pot added and my cabinet builders name. (I pleasantly surprised him) with the monogram.

I will post transformer info on next post with photos of that process.

I like what you did around the input jacks (exposed white rings in the faceplate). I'm stealin' ur shit.

Very cool, carry on.

Drilled holes for transformers and bolted them on.

Attached board and starting to wire.

Man I hate wiring Fender boards, too much x,y and z for me. :D

Finished her up this morning. Non-traditional single channel Deluxe Reverb with mid pot 25kL added.

It sounds good to my ears, ready for pickup.

Thanks brother.

I did use different transformer meant for a Tweed Deluxe not Blackface Deluxe so I think it has more balls then a standard BF Deluxe. The OT is 6k.
Bias is 18-19mA range. 450vdc plates.

Owner is building his own combo cab so I will post when I see that.

Looks great Mark. Lotta wires in a small space on those things.

Looks great Mark! I really need to do a DR clone at some point... Lotta stuff in an AB763 circuit for sure.

Thanks guys it sounds very good and went home this afternoon.

I should have labelled that ground hole as the bias pot. :)

Nice build as usual :)

Does anyone have a source for 1:1 layouts for Fender circuits?

I have some RI chassis that could stand to loose PCBs in favor of the old layouts.

Hoffman blows up the fender board layout and makes garolite boards from them. Watts tube audio also.

I used the black board that came with my small parts kit from Mojotone as a template to drill this blue board.

Just received some cab photos from the owner, he wanted to build a pine cab and his work looks good.
