this might be old news to most of you guys but I couldnt find anything about it here in the search engine. I just found out about them about a week ago and it seems pretty cool. I ordered one with the horsie as a kit. the wait list is 1200 people long

Re: Have you guys seen this yet?
Interesting, supposedly a lot of the tone in the Klon comes from hand picked NOS germanium transistors. I see none on that board in the pics, I wonder how they're getting that tone? I don't know how 'realistic' it would be using what appears to be a set of opamps instead of the germanium originals.

wow, the original klon has 3 of those little op amps. 2 tlo72cp dual jfets and an ic in the power supply. the germaniums are clear as day in the picture

The Ge is in a pair of diodes used in a typical clipping setup.

well 150 for the kit isnt bad considering people pay more than that for a single pedal. Its a pretty accurate look too. When we clone a popular amp we dont stop at the cabinet...usually

If the look is important that's fine. If not, you can get a complete Klon kit from GGG for $65.

If you could point out where they are I'd appreciate it. The ones I've seen all are metal topped cylinders. Maybe I'm smoking crack
I didn't realize the originals used the opamps. Also, I may be just thinking of the old school pedals I was looking at like the fuzzface and being old/senile (and I'm not quite 50 yet)

There are a lot of klon klones out there. The youtube A:B test with the BYOC pedal is pretty convincing.
