Re: 2 Express built Project
Amazing project(s)!
I wish i know some more about its details
As a side note : as a child, I made almost the same experiment as your avatar - but with a fork & hopefully testing a brand new installation. I did not even get my finger heated...
(but something happened, indeed )

I know the I said '' as close to posibble to Original''

Re: 2 Express built Project
I really like the Express in 500p bright mode. Just sublime with a Les Paul. The Express comes alive (even more) with the 500p bright cap. The whole thing is ready to melt down anyway but the bright cap adds more of the clear, shimmering, three dimensional quality. Very articulate and almost like there is a little reverb. That may not be for everyone though. Just my $0.02.
If 500p is too much for some guys, 250p is a nice middle ground. The 100p in the first switch position is nice but not quite enough for me.

Thanks Colossal
I have try a Silver Mica 10pF between Center log and ground of the volume pot...
That Was brighter... so a 500pF may be too brigth...to my ear's.
I Like my amp sound Round ant Fat...
But ! I will try it to see ... curiosity !
Is a Brigth switch, can alter the Tone ? By having it in the circuit, even at neutral position VS take it out completely of the circuit ?

Re: 2 Express built Project
Then no bright cap might be best. Do what your ear likes!
If a bright cap is soldered across the Volume pot, then its effect on the sound will diminish as the Volume pot is turned up. It is there to bypass higher frequencies at lower volumes. If you have a bright cap on a switch, then it will be completely out of the circuit when switched out.
