Very nice tone! Thanks for sharing.
Re: John Mayer/Wonderland build in 17x10in chassis (Audio Clip)
Thanks everyone. Yes I really dig the tones from this circuit! I like it so much I have just started building a 100 watt version of this amp. I am using a 100 watt dumble chassis. Lou you have me listening to Coltrane all morning with your mention of Dave playing Giant Steps in the video!

Is there a larger layout somewhere? I can barely see the parts values on the image in the thread.... thanks...

Hi, here is the original thread that has a better quality layout for the amp.

Glad to be of service to the greater jazz commumity at large actually, I am way on top of the world these days; after surviving in a musical wasteland since I moved to this tiny mountain town 12 years ago, I've finally landed myself in a jazz band. It's so nice to be playing the music I love to play again.

Great job and sounds. And yes, addicting tone with this circuit. I'm inspired to build another with the narrower !7" front panel as you did. Seems like you had plenty of room.
Re: John Mayer/Wonderland build in 17x10in chassis (Audio Clip)
Hi, yes there was enough room with the hammond 17x10in chassis . There was even space to install a GZ34 rect tube. I attached a pic below to show how I positioned the tubes. She is gone now, Dave from the video ended up buying her. I am building another one now. I was going to do a 100 watts but the 50 watts was more than enough for me.telentubes wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2017 3:42 pm Great job and sounds. And yes, addicting tone with this circuit. Which reverb pan did you use?
Re: John Mayer/Wonderland build in 17x10in chassis (Audio Clip)
Hi, the reverb tank I used was a MOD 9AB2C1B. Its there long 17in 3 spring tank with medium decay.

Re: John Mayer/Wonderland build in 17x10in chassis (Audio Clip)
Thanks. Same tank I got (MOD 9AB2C1B) although I have also been using an Acutronics/Belton 8AB2A1B, which I like. Seems kinda crazy to have such a robust reverb circuit with a short pan, but it sounds good.
I have also found that after trying different divider values (68K-150K), I prefer the 68K.
