Is this adjustment something you use often enough that you would recommend putting a pot on the back of the chassis like some do?

http://www.solandfa.com/products-OverDr ... hassis.asp seems pretty nicely built, used one of their other chassis for a previous build and saw this one on there.. Got me thinking!

If you are a player that likes a lot of gain in your OD channel you could put it on the back :D I cannot really say that I adjust mine often enough on my bluesmaster, although I will tweak it a little depending on how loud the amp is set. For instance I generally like to bump up the trimmer just a touch at really low practice volumes is when I find it most useful..If you generally play the amp at the same volume levels most of the time I wouldn't bother. Your tastes may very.

Ok, doubt I will but I'll put it back there for now, can always change it if I dont use it or bump it by mistake, wont be using that ground switch anyways!

Dont you hate it when you miss a few parts and order a few wrong parts? Getting close now!

Waiting for the mouser order to complete the amp, however I did get the footswitch made, I based it on the one in the episode where mick taylor plays the zebra dumble (about 310 in the vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKunm4Z1IXA)

libtech wrote: Tue Jul 13, 2021 3:53 am Cool thanks for the advice, I'm thinking that's probably the style of the 80s one in the video?

Also with reguards to the 300uf caps, seems hard to find them sprague or otherwise in high enough voltages, what do most people sub in there, 220uf f&ts?

Hi,

I searched for electrolytic capacitors for # 183 in the Mauser catalog:

Thanks guys, yes I did make it, stacked two pieces of leftover ply from the cab and then a thinner (~1/2") piece for the bottom plate.

Looks good with the cab, which I decided to go with black suede instead.. going to be a nightmare to clean which is why I first went with tolex, but figured its more fun for a dumble build! :D

Next post will be after power up, wish me luck!

excellent, I love the fact you've done a real clone of the footswitch too,

Is that just plywood stuck together in layers and hollowed out inside?

Can you show some pics of the footswitch?

edit: just read your above post again :) have yo got an pic of the underside etc?

Thanks! I should have said ´faux suede´ search suede and yard on ebay, tonnes of sellers/colours

For sure here are a few more pics to help guys make their own, I sandwiched the plywood and glued it, screwed on the bottom and cut it to shape on my table saw, then used a forstner bit to hollow it out, and drill for your leds/switches/cord; stain/clear and put adhesive felt on the bottom. (the second switch isnt hooked up because I received a defective switch so have to get another)
