I just had a very frustrating conversation with the people at CE Distribution. Apparently, the manufacturer of the orange drop capacitors and carbon film resistors is proprietary information.
They said, and I quote, "if we tell you who made them then you can go somewhere else and get them for less." Have these people lost their minds?

Tell them you have to know the manufacturer and the details of the materials used for recognition by Underwriters Laboratories.
Don't use the word "Approval", UL doesn't like that word. They call it UL recognition.

Have had the same conversation with them. Best they will do is tell you who didn’t make them.

Don't they have a CDE data sheet in the files section for those?
