Well you see, poor Tag was banned at TGP.

So he has to crow about his amps somewhere.

Hmmm, seems like when he owned the Dumble, no amp could come close to it tone wise.
Now that he doesn't own it, his Two Rocks nail the tone......

TAG when are you starting your RF cover band? You have been chasing that tone for years and now you have it so where to now? The only thing I could think of for making so much of a stink about a certain tone is because you want it exact to play out with it. Let me know the dates for your RF cover show as we can't handle the anticipation anymore.

MY question could you rebuild a TR to sound like a Dumble, Possibly are your pockets are deep.
First look at the filter supply of the stock TR Illinois capacitors 22uf @ 450v $1.86 each x 4.
2 each 220uf @ 350v $5.49 each for a grand total of $18.42.
Mallory TC-75 20uf @ 450v $20.15 each x 4
Mallory TC-594 200uf @ 300v $43.71 each x 2 for a grand total of $168.02
Next you could look at the resistors; I think I should stop at this point no disrespect to K & M.
The video I have never heard Mr. Ford’s telecaster sound so bad ever.

Sounds great in this video, Hail the green hornet. :D

Neither can you. I will post several clips of both, and lets see you pick out whats what. You cant. Careful of what you say about others, eh?
I'm talking about your amps; their different(non-hrm and hrm) buth both they can nail that exact tone?
This is a builders forum, but yet you state they sound the same! :?:
I'm not interested in TGP talk, I'm interested in what nails the sound circuit wise. Fe.What does a presence cap for you; do you like 2,2uF or do you like 1uF and why; what tonal spectrum do they represent in the dumble/tr/bludo/ rf plays? These are IMO valid ampgarage discussions.
Come on Tag start building your amp!

The reason I stated it was interesting was exactly that. Both HRM and NON Hrm could nail those tones. There is enough overlap in both circuits when done properly that you can get extremely similar tones from both.

No. I always stated the twoRocks were extremely close to my Dumbles, and provided tons of direct A/B clips showing it.

Never.

You thought wrong. I play mostly acoustic right now. Stated over and over the Ford search was a fun side project. Not even the style I play.
