I read Miles' book years ago, it was great. His skills at conducting business in the form of a band are legendary amongst the people he played with. He could read people inside out, got the best out of near everyone and allowed everyone to be a star. He hired the best and expected you to bare your soul onstage, and most of the time got it.

I wish. I'm going to e-mail some friends in NYC and see if they went. Many of us parents/ middle aged folks don't seem to get out much. Surely there is a review in the Times..will check.Structo wrote:Cool stories

That's an awesome oral history. The one thing that struck me is that he is the only person I've ever heard who didn't think it was a practical joke when someone said "Miles wants to talk to you".ericlee wrote:If you have not seen this video by RF (about Miles) it’s great fun.
