Thank you for the great stuff here! I ordered all the things to mod my blonde 63 to UP a couple months ago.. just getting to it this week!

Thanks for the reference post!
Taking a look at some of these schematics you posted? some pre-date the Amp Garage?.. AFAIK their authenticity has not yet been verified through a reliable source. So do you know if these were actually used in an original Ultraphonics Conversion or a collection of schematics pulled from the Garage and decided to use for your conversion?
Thanks
Tony

I reverse engineered it, based on the photos that were posted here of an ultra phonix bandmaster the values are compatible with the schematic posted in the TAG ,bluesmaster values, only the slope resistor can't see the value if it's 47k or 33k the implementtalbany wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 11:55 pmThanks for the reference post!

I made was the 1uf capacitor fixed in the circuit to simulate the fixed accent, the sound was MUCH more interesting

That cap value is way to high for accent, good for 390/4k7.
Try a .1 for 4k7/100k

Cool! Did you already post those shots or can you post up a link of the ones you used? Would love to take a look at them.I reverse engineered it, based on the photos that were posted here of an ultra phonix bandmaster
Thanks!

What's the difference between Ultra Phonix and Rock Phonix?

As far as I know Rock Phonix or Tronix?? hasn't been documented online... a couple of people on the guitarwank podcast that own them have described it as a gain channel. I want to say Taylor from Amplified Nation had access to something similar with a gain channel (ripper?) that he based his "Ampliphonix and Gain" amp on, but I might be totally wrong.

Agreed, I've stickied this thread, great photos and summary @m.alexander!

Yet I do appreciate this contribution and often refer to this work these times, there already was one topic dedicated to the ultra phonix mod with links to the exact same pictures and I'd rather think that this topic should be linked to the topic, instead - yet it seems that the principle of redundance is one foundation of the internet.
There are really awesome ODS clone builds posted here and there on the forum. I don't think they have been stickied - plus that would provide access to all the good builds linked from one single topic ...
Or maybe move the other topic to the files section, for it contains only references to geniune Dumble's work?
By the way - one more time: thank you CW!

I agree it would be nice to have on sticky post for the Ultraphonix topic. Perhaps these two can be merged somehow?

Re: modifying Fender Bandmaster - Ultra phonix mod
I guess it's upon the forum to decide, I find it nice to have a sticky that has all the details in the first few posts, and the other has the same information but on page 2, and great discussion. I think just 'merging' the threads isn't a norm unless both OP's of both threads are okay with that.
I can unstick either... it's just which one summarizes the Ultra phonix mods better?

That's why I said "merged somehow," to capture the contributions from both in one place.pompeiisneaks wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 2:42 pmI think just 'merging' the threads isn't a norm unless both OP's of both threads are okay with that.
