I used the same PT with my modified deluxe reverb. Needed to use the 125 volt primary wiring to get the heaters to 6.5 volts. I have 1 fewer premp tubes to draw current. Get 348 B+ volts with a Sovtek 5AR4. I prefer the slightly softer sound of 404 volts with a 5R4GYB and adjusted string dropping resistors. Using JJ 6V6s and they sound fine at either plate voltage.
As stevem said,
How do you want / need the amp to sound?
When do you want / need the amp to clip?

I used to own a 1964 Deluxe Reverb. It had 394v on the 6V6 plates and 6.3v on the heaters when fed 120vac to the power transformer primary.sonofmickel wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 5:56 pm My Weber build 6a20 Deluxe Reverb Power tranny has Red/Red 680V, Red/White 540V taps.

My choice is 450v on the plates or 360v.
Turns out the voltages marked on Fender schematics aren't "absolute truth." And I would personally opt for "lower voltage" any time I have to choose between higher or lower voltage.
