The 5751 tube is only as NOS available and the price is three times more than a 12AX7 tube. It is possible to reduce the mu-factor of a tube by connecting a resistor in parallel between cathode und anode. Have you practical knowledge about?

Hoffman Amp parts lists a Sovtek 5751 for $24. The Tube Store lists the Sovtek for $20
