I don't know about Greg's letter, but Mark received a card from Ken that says pretty much what Greg just stated.

It was a personal response to a letter that I sent to him back in 2003 I believe it was. The one to

I would like to simply correct something with this statement. Ken did NOT have a problem with people cloning his amps for personal use. He did however not like commercial cloners or people doing it for profit. I have a letter from Ken on old Ampeg stationary stating this. It is well documented.
thanks,

Casey! Please....we don't want to debate this here. No good can come from opening this door.
At any rate....I posted the letter that I recieved from Ken. I was wrong about the time frame. It was in early 2005 NOT 2003 as previously stated in this thread.

IMHO it's equally important for the admin and mods to realize that once they put rules and guidelines in place, the rules should be applied in a uniform fashion. Otherwise, the mods and admin lose credibility and respect of the members, while the rules become arbitrary. It's not a democracy, but nor should it be a buddy system where some members are shown favoritism over others. This is especially important where members in the industry actively use the forums for marketing purposes.declan wrote: Forums are not a democracy, members need to be reminded that they are guests in the house of the admin and moderators, and the admin and moderators should not fear throwing out disruptive guests. On the flip side it must also be the responsibility of the members to point these issues out in private to the admin before they become real problems.

Re: This forum - too much attitude lately.
Thank You guys for posting these notes from Ken Fischer. It is another glimpse at his decency as much as it is an insight into his feelings about using his amplifier ideas.
For many of us who are relatively new to the Trainwreck legacy and never had a direct conversation with Ken Fischer himself, most of what is publicly available is indeed focused on the protection of the Trainwreck secrets. Without these notes, most of us don't know have much to work with except the hearsay and the posts on the "Official Trainwreck Website"... which lacks any sense of the warmth and kind spirit I read in Ken's personal notes to you guys.
I sometimes think about how to best honor Ken's genius as well as his kindness, then also wonder if there is a kind gesture that could be offered toward helping Ken's family? I know that this has been touchy in the past so I'm just wondering out loud rather than making any kind of proposal... Has anyone considered what the impact of a $10 donation for every wreck inspired build we do, given to support Ken's mother?
Thanks again for posting these letters.
