Darin, really fine looking head! I'm going to assume that it will run EL34's? If it does, what does it sound like?
Re: Tonic Vapour Photos
This one is setup for 6V6s only. Well, it'll work with 6EZ5s too. It's using smaller iron, so it's also super light weight for a grab and go kind of head. It rips through a 212 or 412 and is plenty loud for gigging.Lousyatit wrote:Darin, really fine looking head! I'm going to assume that it will run EL34's? If it does, what does it sound like?
I've got a couple more days off of work, so I'll try to get some clips.

Darin, Beautiful looking amp your bringing to market. The components, covering, panel art, etc. make a bold, proud statement. I trust it slays as sonically as it looks.dartanion wrote:The handle has chrome ends that reflected the tolex, so that's just an illusion.
Those dang handles are approaching $40 USD from anyone reputable. Care to tip your hand as to your supplier

Best wishes for your company,

Watching the video clips assures me that it was well worth the effort.
I can easily say the same about your amp and cabinet building skills. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more Tonic amps.

Darin/Dartanion-
As usual, GORGEOUS build! It's more than refreshing to see you add your own interpretation/flavor to a proven design...proves again that there's more to this group than just cloners; I'm sure Ken would give the "attaboy" to your efforts!
Now, how about sending me some'a them Yakima Magnum hops/rizhomes???
All the best from Red River Gorge (it's still here; waiting for you to visit!!)

Thanks for the compliments.
I do have some rhizomes right now that I got from my father in law. We gave him rhizomes a few years ago, now he sends us clippings every year. I'll see if I have extras and will let you know what I have.
