Got 16 sq ft in today, it was around $57 shipped. That blue Italian suede that that I posted was about $75 shipped for 11 sq ft.

The price is all over the place, it depends on thickness and brand. There is garment suede that I like the best. It's reasonable.

Taylor, the stuff I received today is .050 thick, somewhat thicker than the Italian. Is there a thickness that you find just a bear to work with?

Yeah I like it pretty thick. I'm not sure the thickness though, I'll see if one of my samples has a tag on it. its "garment suede" that I order. It's a little thicker than pig suede

Here is it, the entire piece is pretty good except for a rough 3x4 section near an edge. I guess i'll send this to you along with some cloth. :D

Wilsonart H2O water based contact cement. You can get it at Home Depot under the laminates. works great.

Suede is a dirt magnet. Hardwood is outstanding.
So far at shows people say you sound great nothing about the D style amp.
I play the hardwood amps out people crowd around and bla, bla, amp bla, bla amp.
I showed my Doctor the suede amp she asked why did I waste my time?
Same thing with the tolex covered amps. I’m like WTF?
Back to hardwood for the future D builds, you don’t ever want to argue with my Doctor
It’s a losing proposition. I think the suede and tolex covering look fine.

Thanks for the help and suggestions everybody. Here's a head and 2X12 cab I just finished. Design was inspired by the Tom McGrath rig that Vintone did several years ago. I ended up using upholstery faux suede (still waiting the Alcantara I ordered three weeks ago to arrive. )
