While not far from the truth, in aluminum, you can drill a pilot hole on your desired center and use a corner nipper and a file to make your square shape with a bit of work. I find cage nuts to be much easier to align screw holes with because of their ability to wiggle.

An FYI: I just reached out to Seaside about a chassis and was informed that Terry had passed away in December. Very sad to hear - it seems like this was a vendor that offered great quality chassis work.

I am so sorry to hear that. Terry made chassis for me as well before I moved to having them Laser cut at a Machine shop.
He was a great help to me when I was starting out. RIP Terry.

Man, that's a real bummer. I'm just getting ready to start building on a few chassis I got from him several months ago. He produced a quality product.
