Scott - glad to hear you are on the mend. I am sure it was a bit of a scare. I like to discover something useful in these types of situations. Can you tell us what kind of symptoms you had and what lead to your hospitalization? I am not familiar with this particular ailment.

Soreness on deep breaths, flu like symptoms such as fever and chills, short of breath......

Really, it is just liek the flu since in my case a virus caused it. If you feel the soreness on deep breaths, then a chest Xray is indicated. Could be Pneaumonia. In my case, it was Pericarditis.

Look up acute pericarditis for more info.

Btw, home and feeling great. Pinner stopped by today too! Of course he took an amp with him to try..... LOL

Yikes! Brings back painful memories. Anything that makes your heart move or squeezes it, produces pain. Breathing deeply, coughing, changing positions, swallowing.....
Did they send you home on Indomethacin? Man - watch out shaving. I nearly bled out. I was on that stuff for a month or two and it really messed up my clotting time.....
Glad you are getting better!!

Yeah I have to watch the bleeding as well since I'm on Plavix.

Glad you're home Scott, hope you feel better soon.
