OT secondary wiring concern
I tested my amp through a 16ohm cabinet and thought I may have wired the OT wrong on the switch. After switching through what I thought I wired as 4/8/16 they all seem to be the same volume with no reduction at all. I used the 3 way switch from hoffman here : [img:560:266]http://www.el34world.com/charts/images/ ... agram2.jpg[/img]

Re: OT secondary wiring concern
I wouldn't expect to hear a whole lot of volume difference. You should have "In" connected to the speaker jack, "Out 1" connected to the 4-Ohm tap on the OT, "Out 2" and "Out 3" connected to the 8- and 16-Ohm taps respectively.

Im not sure what you are asking?
Are you expecting a change in volume when you switch to a different tap?
You will experience a loss of highs when say you plug into a 4ohm cab and set it for 16 but not really a drop in volume so much. Some actually mismatch impedance puposely to alter tone.
On your pics I would actually consider the 3 tor 4 taps from the OT sec's "IN" and the tap to the speakers "OUT" as well.
I personally would use the 16 ohm tap with a 16 ohm cab, this way you are using the OT's full winding, but whatever sounds best to you.

I haven't seen a vendor for that heavy duty 1 pole 4 position rotary switch,
do you have a source?
Looking for a heavy duty simple one like that one.
Hoffman and others have the 1 pole 3 position.
