It's a tweed Dumble x10. Really good. Needs a little tweak I am thinking in the slope to work best for with all my cabs. There isn't a harsh edge to be found though, and more gain available than any other amp I have for sure. It's pretty crazy. I think I love it!

Your Express is definately a great one. No doubt!

This amp has the redplate thing really going on. Sustain without dirt, too sweet (seriously a little too sweet.. heh) and loads of early Fender tones. It rocks a little more than the other models. It has the ability to be pretty raw with the NFB off.

Fun!

What is the amp it is on in the picture????? Looks kind of cool too.
Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the "redplate" thing in an amp was a bad thing. Maybe you should sell it to someone who could try to fix it. Broken amps don't bring much though.

The amp it's on is the mod. 1962/T that I make do bad things. :) Funny thing about the Redplate is it's underbiased.

Just kidding.

I think I should open the Redplate up and see what the slope is. I wonder if there are trimmers for the drive control. From what I understand it's made sort of like the FET on a Dumble but it's got a much different voice which they say was more like an early screamer but that is a load of poop because it sounds..

Good..
