Stereo Dumblelator relay boost/loop switch. Little help?

Hey there,

I have been working on a lay out for a true stereo dumbleator (see attachment) with at least a switchable boost option, and perhaps I'll make an extra switching loop (for instance to switch an extra delay pedal in the rack. This extra switching loop however is not on the lay out yet.

The idea is to add an extra recovery pot so you have two seperate master volumes. Thereby increasing volume or not. The way I have it set up right now is a simple dpdt circuit switching between the two pots.. but I am afraid of a loud pop. So I did some extra research and came across this schematic. Instead of switching between two seperate pots, this schematic simply lifts the normal master volume ground (recovery pot) and brings in an extra pot. What would work best?

Since I am rather limited in my electronic understanding. (No education, just hobby). I would like to receive some feedback. Further improvements in the design are also welcome (especially the power supply).

Updated the lay-out. Decided to go for the simpler schematic with lifting the recovery ground and adding another pot.

Also desided to go for the slightly bigger Transformer with 300VAC on the secondaries instead of 250. Thereby I can increase an extra dropping resistor to get the voltages. Voltages to aim for in the powersupply are 368,3 across the 15K and 256,8 across the 100K?

Note that if you switch the 'solo boost' it will switch also the effects level. So if you have trailing delays, you will switch the level as well. It might be better to set the solo boost in the "send-part" of the loop.

Yep! The aim is to boost the entire signal including effects. The effect level will be higher at the same ratio as the sound itself right? Since the boost comes after the effect chain. If I boost it at the send button, I risk overloading effects down the signal path. Now I only risk overloading the PI stage. I have a cheap lexicon mpx110 unit for some reverb and slight delay.
