120 vac pilot light on 124/220 vac secondary
Hi guys,
I'm little in trouble, I've build a jtm 45 with mm transformers, I live in Italy where vac are 220 and not 120. My amp has a TAD 120 vac amber pilot light, which resistor (value) must be used to avoid burn the lamp?
Thank!!!!

Is there a link to the part on the TAD site? This?

The note there says that a 56k 2W resistor can be used.

Oh Martin,
such shame...
When I've opened the TAD order page I've seen the matched product but for strange reasons the 56K 2W resistor was the issue I had previously bought and I've though was a little reminder...

Cin cin! ;^)

wire the 120 vac pilot light to the common and the 120 vac taps of the transformer primary. Then you can set the voltage selector to any voltage you want and the pilot light still gets 120vac.
What?

Very clever Jana!!!

Yes, very clever indeed!

How about a light that is powered by the heater voltage?
Radio Shack has these lights.

Most tubes can handle a bit more than spec'd voltage but I like the LED pilot light.

Thank Structo, but I've got a vintage amber jtm 45 pilot light in order to get the best clone as possible, otherwise if could be available a 6,3 vac marshall vintage pilot light I'll buy now even if it is on the moon 😂😂😂😂😂

That's smart!
