Re: Mustard cap substitute!
Note that the word is that the Mojo mustards are polypropylene film and foil not polyester. I remember looking into this and found confirmation on a seller's site somewhere, maybe even mojo's. No big deal, and making no judgement of tone as I haven't used the ones I have yet, but if shamanistic fetish talisman voodoo is a part of your process maybe you want to know. The sozos are supposedly polyester and foil. The mojo's are pretty big too in diameter, bigger than I expected from something claiming to be mustard copies.
TAD & Mojo are be same I think.

Re: Mustard cap substitute!
Yes, but apparently some people really like them. Never hurts to try them...
Re: Mustard cap substitute!
I just built another DR504 clone for a local bass player----- I used a mix of Mojo Dijon and M150's----- the 47n Mojo Dijon caps are very large in diameter so I used M150's in the 47n and 100n board positions for a neater fit.
I still had enough yellow M150's to do the job.
FWIW----- George M. (Metro) wrote that he found that the closest new cap in tone to old Mustards are the white M150's.
I can't confirm this because I used yellows on this build to keep everything to a similar color scheme on the board.
It was satisfying when the customer's eyes lit up when he first played this one------- he is very happy with it.

Re: Mustard cap substitute!
Allright.
I recently tried the white M150 in the OD section of an Overdrive Special, and absolutely hated how it handles distortion. If the TAD ones are worse sounding...
Must be an application thing. Still never hurts to try.
