I've been to York PA several times, it ain't NYC or L.A., so I wonder how a small town guitar store nowhere near anywhere comes to have not one, but three Dumbles on offer.

Cannot make out the serial nos. either, they are deliberately obscured. No offer to prove the claimed provenance either, although at a quick glance they look real, and I suppose they could be on consignment.

Still, I wonder.....

Is that SSS #004? Someone inquired about a cab a couple months ago said they had that amp...the last I knew it was in PA in 2012, I built a matching cab for it.

AFAIR: Dumbleland Special 150W #009, Overdrive Reverb Special 100W #0059, Steel String Singer 100W #004 ("reconfigured by Dumble as a head with the original combo acting as open-backed cab for easier transportation, original JBL speakers handpicked by Dumble and Kaiser". Source: http://www.jimsguitars.com/s/3888/Ampli ... Singer.htm). Some pictures of a 2x12" JBL combo cabinet, AFAIR designed for a SSS 100W chassis with the dimensions (incl. PT and OT) of SSS #003 and SSS #004: http://www.maverick-music.com/vintage-a ... bo-cabinet

Did anyone ever get any extra info about Dumbleland #009. The previous owner was here for a little bit when he was trying to sell it. I think he originally sold it for $55,000 from memory.

Maverick-Music doesn't have half of the items they display on their website. I have the first Two-Rock ever sold (Serial Number #1) and it's on their website. They never had it in their possession, I bought it straight from someone at Two-Rock. I've asked them to take down the listing - but they have never complied. I'm assuming it's the same for a lot of the amps and guitars listed there.
Fender, Gibson, Martin, Dumble, Two-Rock

Just found this on EBAY more pics at link

Dumble Overdrive Special 1987 + Dumblelator & Flight Cases vintage tube amp US $94,500.00

One owner "Howard" era masterpiece! Serial number 150

The opportunity to purchase a vintage Overdrive Special is a rare one. So few of these amps were made and they rarely change hands. This amp was purchased from Dumble (Howard at the time) by Timbuk 3, on the heels of their Top 40 hit, My Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades. The band first used the amp on stage opening for Sting at Wembley Arena in December of 1987.

The amp and Dumblelator are fully functioning. Everything is in original condition, with the exception of the speaker, which was replaced with the identical model.

Shipping (fully insured freight) will be free in the lower 48. Buyers outside the continental US must arrange pickup. Texas buyers are required to pay sales tax. I will only accept bank wire as payment for this item.

The speaker cab doesn't have the Dumble port on the back... might be fake?
