The one behind JM has the "Mid Accent" switch. The AN version comes with a presence knob.
Re: SSS #004 has a new owner
I think I found this on Instagram.
Don't know who originally separated the combo, but Henry used it as a combo for sometime when he owned it. AN built a matching 2 x 12 for a previous owner.
It wasn't cheap when he sold it, I'm sure JM got the celebrity discount.

I played that amp at Henry's house a few years ago. I wasn't that impressed, except that it was a REAL dumble SSS. Needed a lot of work at that time.Aaron wrote:I think I found this on Instagram.

Of course that is ONLY my opinion. Henry's Super Overdrive II sounded better.

He has a killer gear!!
The sound of his dumbleland https://youtu.be/h1Dd7bP64QU and https://youtu.be/HC3tzJw3qQw
For me the sound is not super impressive to be honest. It sounds somewhat like a strat plugged to a Phil Jones Bass Cub or Double Four
And some pics below

Interesting amp: Mix between a Dumble Dumbleland Special and a Two-Rock John Mayer Signature selling on Reverb

I'm curious as to what might have been done circuit wise. Maybe the PI cathode follower before the power tubes? So this is a very interesting amp. This is a Two-Rock "Custom".
This amp was hand built by Bill Krinard, co-founder of Two-Rock. He built this amp specifically for John Mayer, but it never got into John's hands.
As Bill tells the story, this amp is a mix between a Dumble Dumbleland Special and a Two-Rock John Mayer Signature. It has all of the John Mayer Sig sounds, but with more oomph - and a lot more headroom. This amp never made it to John, because after Bill made the amp, the folks at Two-Rock decided it was best it wasn't sent to John so he wouldn't end up falling in love with it and playing this amp instead of his Signatures on stage.
Truly a one-of-a-kind amplifier, made specifically for John Mayer. All hand built with NOS parts.

Cool!M Fowler wrote:JM with his Dumble and Milkman Creamer.
The guitars are the Alembic, BLK1, 52 Tele and a gibson(!?) The bass on the far right seems to be a larry graham moon bass (maybe Pino's since he has a few of those?)
The pedals are a boss octave OC-3 that he was using with Dead &Co, a Ts808 a Ts10, a Keeley Katana Clean Boost, A Boss tuner and the King of Tone (which I have only seen in his board during the recording with Barbara Streisand but it was turned off during the recording of solo)
For me it looks more like the "Milkman 40W Pedal Steel Mini".
I have never seen the Milkman with him live.

Haven't seen Tim(Milkman) around these parts in awhile. It's always great to see TAG family gear in the limelight.M Fowler wrote:JM with his Dumble and Milkman Creamer.
