Vintage Test Gear
Here's something for fun. My lad decided he wanted a scope, and went looking for a vintage EICO (not my idea, but hey, cool!). He scored this beautiful example in extraordinarily good shape. Haven't looked inside yet as its working fine... A tune up will come later. Full panel shot for overall appearance exactly as it arrived; second shot is ADSR envelope from a modular synth. Late 50's I'd guess.

Very cool! First pic looks like sonar ping in a cold war sub. Peter Fonda..
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

There were a bunch of those scopes in the tech school I attended in '68-'69. There were also several other Eico pieces, sig gen, sig tracer, etc. That scope looks very good.

What a cool piece. When I look at the screen..Flash Gordon comes to mind.

Thanks. I picked up a banana-BNC adapter and a couple of inexpensive x1/x10 probes for it. Input impedance is 3M, so the probes are usable at x1 for low voltage work. On x10 it's really x4, which is only a little inconvenient.
