new trick for stuck knobs

Post by maxkracht »

I usually use a piece of twine or some hookup wire to get under a stuck knob, but didn't have any handy while disassembling this thing (didn't feel like getting up) and was sitting next to some packing paper. Fold a few times, wrap around and pull up. Worked great, with the added benefit of providing better support to the knob so it's less likely to crack.

I've done this with a T-shirt, as well. Good tip to know!

T-shirt is a solid idea as well. Nice to have a few tricks up your sleeve.

For me usually electrical tape (because I've got it on hand and it's soft) folded over on itself.

Or have your sleeve be a trick.
