fender concert 2/dumble

Post by performer »

Hi and greetings from Ireland.
Ihave a fender concert 2,it`s basically a good amp but a bit hard and dark sounding.I`d be grateful for any suggestions in relation to mods, particularly a dumble type mod.
Go easy now I`m no electronics whiz!.

Many thanks. :)

Full monty, I'm afraid...Dumble ODS non-HRM, with reverb and effects loop. It's a lot of work, but can be done in stages.

There's a unused tube half in the Concert/Twin II and I've 'dumbleized' some of these amps in the early 90', using this extra half tube.

But be careful, because the input and output of the OD area are very close together, what might lead to horrible RF issues.

Unfortunately I already don't have any plans or writings about this mod, because later I switched to remove the orig. board and put in a completely new designed eyelet board in these amps.

I only had problems like that when I was foolishly running a 5" plate connection without coax.
