Re: 2 rock custom reverb
They are pretty much the same as dumbles and D'lites'.I am not a big fan of the tone from the Two Rock.Only played a couple though, with no time for tube swaps or tweaks.
Crystal latice or vacuum, that is the question.
try this
This should get you close...

Re: 2 rock custom reverb
Larry (Novosibir ) posted a schematic for a two rock with reverb a while back. You should be able to find it in de Dumble Discussion section.

I've attached my pencil drafted schem once again. Unfortunately I haven't had enough time yet, to draft it w/ ExpressSCH, but hope, that this is of some help so far.

Noob question: are the V2a and V2b cathode bypasses wired correctly on the PDF? Seems like V2b grid and cathode are connected directly.novosibir wrote:I've attached my pencil drafted schem once again. They're not connected - what you're seeing is the snubber (470 pF!!!!! ) between plate and cathode. It looks like the photocopier didn't do a great job of capturing it.
Re: 2 rock custom reverb
no thats clear. There is a connection between the grid and cathode on V2B. Have a look.

Oh, now I got it, thanks dave g !dave g wrote:They're not connected - what you're seeing is the snubber (470 pF!!!!! ) between plate and cathode. It looks like the photocopier didn't do a great job of capturing it.
How about of the reverb circuit, what is going with the V3 + V4a ?

No, there isn't.JimiB wrote:no thats clear. There is a connection between the grid and cathode on V2B. Have a look.
Do you see those huge heavy dots littered everywhere else across the schematic that indicate connections? All I see between the grid and cathode is a tiny bit of extra ink where the pen crossed a previously drawn mark and was subsequently photocopied.
If the grid and cathode were jumped together, there would be no bias voltage on the grid and the tube would not operate!
Similarly with V2a, the schematic makes it look like Ck is coming off the plate after the 470pF snubber. If you look closely enough you can see a very faint line coming off the cathode above Rk that got lost in the photocopying.
Re: 2 rock custom reverb
Ah so the plate is connected to the cathode via the 470P cap and it crosses the grid but dosent connect because there is no dot. Correct?
Sorry for being daft.

Re: 2 rock custom reverb
The Reverb circuit is a standard Fender design as seen in most of the BF & SF Fenders, therefore I've drafted it as a block.mat wrote:How about of the reverb circuit, what is going with the V3 + V4a ?
