OT for a rocket?
Hey.
According to the BOM, the OT from heyboer should be HTS-8093-1
However, I just contacted them, and was told the ot for the rocket is HTS-5200 ...???
Which one is correct??
Regards
Anders

Re: OT for a rocket?
I think if you are using Heyboer is the second.
Re: OT for a rocket?
Uhm... both are heyboer......
Re: OT for a rocket?
Yes but you asked for rocket....8093 sounds like a Stancor clone so that may be used for express or Liverpool.
Rocket uses a different OT.

Re: OT for a rocket?
Trainwreck used both 4k & 5k in the Rockets.
Stancor A-3801 PT
Stancor A-3800 5k OT
Stancor C-1002 Choke 15h/75mA
Also used Dynaco A470 4K3 OT
Toneslut sold Heyboer HTS 8093-1 4k3 OT
Toneslut sold Heyboer HTS 9633 5K2
I always use a 4k load like the VOX AC30 so I order Dynaclone A470-S from Triodestore; or Edcor 4K3 from rjguitars; or Pacifc 4k3 from rjguitars; or Mercury 3801 from rjguitars.
R.Hinson (rh) also had his own line of TW transformer wound at Heyboer, he paid a lot of attention to laminations based on the TW transformers he has seen.

Re: OT for a rocket?
Mark Fowler is correct.
Re: OT for a rocket?
HTS-5200 isn't a Rocket output transformer. It was initially used on TAG members Express amps but found to be too bright, it was then used on the Liverpool amp.
As Mark Fowler suggests the 470 style output is the way to go. Have a look at RJ guitars, he has a lot of TW iron.

Re: OT for a rocket?
I've only ever used the Dynaclone from Triode as an OT in my Rocket builds.
Re: OT for a rocket?
Never heard of Stancor in a Rocket??? Only Liverpool and Express...?? I know the Dynaco was used as a proto or early unit.
Re: OT for a rocket?
Not sure about Stancor in a Rocket but one could use the Stancor 3800 5k 30w to get something like a Dr Z Stangray.
I only know of one Rocket it used Pacific 10421 OT.
