Dumble video/sound clip reference, real Dumbles only please

Re: Dumble video/sound clip reference, real Dumbles only please
It's a real Dumble, made for a friend of mine in the late 70s. It's #88. I bought it in about 1987. I had it updated to the current, at the time, Skyline. It's using a Dumbleator 2 in the clip also. I received that in 1990.
Please let me know if there is more that you'd like to know about it.
Thanks,
Jim

I personally would love to see high res gut shots (In a separate thread maybe) if you're up to it . That is unless you already have some on a separate thread somewhere? All of the threads I've read here seem to agree that the more information we can get on Mr Dumble's builds, the more we may understand.

Found this one on a website of a recording studio in Germany. Could be an early silverplate ODS somewhere around #028-039. Only a few information about this amp is available on the site:
Company: (Alexander) Dumble
Model : Overdrive Special
Year: 1979
Export Model
Added Reverb
Accent switch converted to pot.
Imported by Applied Acoustic in Bochum
Wolfram Roy (Later Kitty Hawk)
Hardwood cabs were built in Germany AFAIK. Sorry, no video clip, just the photos.

Robben Ford at the 2017 Montreux Jazz Festival in a small club, full HD, ans with a black Dumble. Good trio performance!

Looks like he uses a pedal for overdrive and keeps his front end gain turned down a bit. Also, in my opinion, there's no way that is a high plate amp. Love the sound with the SG.

Charlie, there is a brief shot on the pedalboard, and without being sure, I think I recognized the vertex clean boost pedal. As for the overdrive it sounds to me like the zendrive, with a boost sometimes.
I cant tell for the high plate, as I have no extensive experience with different dumbles, but It sounded familiar to the one I built, which is a high plate.
My 2 cents here
Fred.

Tumbled on this fine Dumble video, albeit in Japanese. Compares three distinct amps. There's an embedded "jump" to a webposting that, once run through Google translate, gave some colour and form to the video. Found a few other postings with pointers to it, but in "topic specific" threads.
