I bought this book years ago and loved it. I just noticed this recently on his website:
"I've been getting a lot of mail about my power supplies book. I'm sorry to say I permanently removed it from print. It contained too many mistakes and typos, and it didn't match the style of my preamp books."
What exactly are these mistakes? I've considered Merlin to be the gold standard for tube amps. I want to at least use the gyrator circuit from his book in my next amp.
Is there anything specifically I need to be aware of when reading this book?

I want to buy his hi-fi preamp book anyway, but seriously, the whole PS book has to be discarded? Gyrator can't be used? Reservoir cap advice is junk? Switching and fusing info is wrong? Bias supply is bad? All that info must be discarded?
On a bizarre note, people are selling that book used on amazon for $1000.

The gyrator is ok,i would advise to just double check any circuit around with a good electronics book,99% of that is coming from a handful of well known bibles.
