AFAIR he used his Fender Nocaster for this track and his 3rd generation ODS 50WX Combo (hardwood cabinet similar to the late 70ies early eighties Boogie hardwood cabinets). AFAIR the speaker in this cabinet at the time of this recording was an Altec 417-8H SERIES II. The original metal dust cap had been replaced by a paper dust cap. You can get some glimpses of this combo on this video (No Nocaster ). "Village Feeling" starting around 18:00. Have fun!
Cheers,
Max

Nice good use of volume and tone control on the gtr. personally I think this is the best way to work an ODS amp on the bridge pickup, just use the tone control to take the edge off if you want to. Even on clean the tone control is a must on a telecaster IMHO. It's the same principal as the volume control..set the amp so its at it's loudest, brigtest most OD you're ever going to need and then back off the volume and tone for everyday usage.
Hello Max ,thanks for getting back do you have a lay out of the overdrive of that 70’s amp with the tele example you did i,m having my tech guy tweek my bassman thats a early 80’s style but i like that over drive tome you posted with a tele as i play a 52 telecaster and it sound great fat and also had the top bite !! ,thanks, Jim Weider www.jimweider.com
Thanks Max for getting back so quickly that lay out you sent me the link above to is for this amp you posted a sound clip with a 52 tele just to be clear "Funky" OD entrance vs. "trigger" (trim pot) OD entrance" - a comparision:
1st example ("funky"):
50’s Telecaster into the "funky OD entrance" of a 3rd generation ODS 50W combo (Altec with a paper dust cap): http://ampgarage.com/forum/files/villag ... _3_144.mp3

Cool, do you have the exact lay out of that dumble ,? I liked how with all that gain which i dont use that much gain but when the treble tone pot was opened up it still had that tele bite , i wish there were more audio clips of that dumble with a tele !! Take care and thanks for getting back , Jim Weider

It's the 2nd gen layout that Max posted the link to. I put the FET on a switch but other than that it's as the schematic/Layout.
here's a sound clip, I think it's public so you should be able to hear/see it.

Nice playing !, so that layout was totally accurate ? Taken from the original dumble ?Can you send me a link thanks for connecting , jim
it's taken from an actual Dumble of that generation so it will be either the same or pretty close IMHO. HAD did tweak for each player he built for so unless you're in the exact amp you can't be 100% sure.
