Where'd you get the suede? if you don't mind me asking. I'm looking to get some for a couple cabinets I have planned.
Thanks!

Andy, I had two hides the problem is the thickness varies and flaws in the Swede
A friend gave me the hide’s years ago, you might try Tandy leather $2.79 per square foot.
Also use carpet & sheet vinyl adhesive it is cheap and works well

Steve, the amp is looking good.
I love the suede look especially the yellow stuff Jelle uses but man suede can get so dirty and be a bitch to keep up.

Good looking amp head. Looks like the real deal.

Re: First #124 base build
The parts to finish this amp have arrived. I hope I can get a good slide tone out of this amp, one with single coil pickups. I have a matched quad of U.S.A. 6l6gc, 3 each 7025s to start with.
It’s sad that a quad of GEC kt-66s won’t fit in the chassis one of my favorite power tubes
The cabinet is finished. Thanks to all.

P-90s are the answer to a great tone slide (think Sonny Landreth) with the #124.

you might try using this place for covering material. they have about everything, snake, lizard, ostrich, crock large and small, suede, pleated,
basketweave, and about every color type you could think of, some would also make great basketweave grillcloth etc..
glitter, metal looking,
just have to look through all the cool stuff

I got a few samples of that faux suede back in the Fall. If you really got to have the depth and texture of real thing, go with real suede. It's a PITA to find enough hide to get sq footage to do an amp though.
FYI, if you email them they will send out samples that same day.
