JCM900 Dumble OD 50watt Conversion

Post by badtweed »

I just finished this conversion for a buddy.
Other than the non choke equipped power supply and stock Marshall trannies, the rest of the circuit is Dumble OD 50 watter.

Sounds very nice with 6L6's. Able to crank the OD input pot all the way up with no squealing issues.

Another ugly terminal strip point to point job that works just fine.

Yes indeed! I was not a fan of the JCM900 amp in stock form.
IC's in the signal path? Bleh! Now gone forever.

Perhaps the converted amp is worth a bit more as a Dumble as well.

Nice that the chassis had just the right amount of front panel knobs to make the conversion tidy.
