Yes. they look nice. Now take a hammer a smash the epoxy coating to expose the resistor proper. Surprise :!: :lol:

Looks like Tube Depot has misquoted the working voltage spec- it's 300, not 500. The often-used RN65's are rated at 350, FWIW.

Aleks, I must admit I've never taken a hammer to a resistor. What is under the coating?

C'mon guys, I'm sure you can afford to sacrifice one resistor to satisfy your curiosity. Take one for the team.

Yes, although not in high voltage areas like plate feeds.

350v should be plenty, right? so whats the good high voltage resister options to get?
