Sand down the face of the LED or raise the value of the associated dropping resistor to tame the "super" brightness.

I just did that on my ABY pedal. I had pre-tested the resistor on the blue LED out of the enclosure and it looked good, but then when it was mounted it seems so much brighter. If you are looking down into it then its crazy bright, off to the side it reads ok. may have to get back inside and adjust that.

I always include the trem defeat switch to get one of the cleanest straight boost effects that I have ever heard.

I built one of these.
Works great.
I have the LED wired so it blinks in time with the trem.

I need to try the boost switch, sounds like a winner.

Yes...the trem defeat switch (e.g., boost only) is definitely worth including IMHO.

I also have the status light twitching-in-time and believe that, too, is worth the effort. Especially if you use the effect for multiple songs with wildly different tempos and/or trem speed-needs. It isn't a total substitute for tap-tempo...but...close enough for rock and roll!

Here are a couple shots of my battle worn (5 years now) but still working great GGG EA Trem stomp box.

LOL!! Just noticed that GGG has posted up a number of drill templates suitable for this build. One of them includes a larger enclosure that puts the boost only function on a footswitch. Mine is on a toggle which can be a minor annoyance if I forget to set it the way I want it before starting a song.

I have been itching to package up all of my pedals ala Pete Cornish for some time now. Too many amps but still need to feed the addiction to build something!!

Thought I would start with the footswitch covers as they seem to be unavailable commercially and came up with the attached sketch. Wanted to share it with anyone else that might be on a similar trajectory.

The use of a standard washer to mount the footswitch is a simple, but elegant, method suggested by one of the good folks over at the guitarpcb.com forum.

Shouldn't be too difficult for anyone with access to a lathe and some skills. Fortunately, I have a retired friend with both of those who loves to tinker around with unique things.

I haven't made one yet but will report back when I do. Hope the same from anyone who gives it a shot before I do.

Few small changes, added Geofex polarity protection using an IRFD9024 and parallel power supply filtering to the two circuits. Gobs of gain!

I've never built this pedal, but I have ordered 9 mm pots from mouser when I had space issues. I'm not talking about the green pcb mount pots. They have the terminal lugs just like the larger ones. I will look for the order numbers and post if you like.
