Interesting how they claim "they don't clone" and "don't goop", and do both .
Boy they love weird "loops", or lack of them.
one minute you're nice, the next minute takin' a shot. Just because we use a given manufacturer, doesn't mean we copied their transformer.
really, Andy, I'm surprised ar you.
Didn't say you did Joe. Simply noting you guys share a supplier. You did (at one time, not sure about present) use Mesa iron in a few amps, did you not ?
Not being mean, and if it sounded like I was, I wasn't...
Taken in context, this reads to me like
"So the transformers are Marvel Magnetics, same supplier to Mesa. Interesting how they claim "they don't clone" and do."
That could be interpreted as we cloned Mesa transformers. I'd be surprised if I'm the only one who read it that way. Yeah, 7 of our first 10 K&M amps used Mesa transformers, before we started real production in 1998. Not particularly significant in the scheme of 3,000 plus amps, so again, just posting facts to clarify speculation and misleading assumptions.
We're good.
When you present it that way, I can see how it could be misread.
Glad we're good.

You know you know, and we know that you know, so whaddaya think about sharing?
? How do they work? They're just RC and LC networks, hi-fi stuff. You can find the circuits in the RCA tube application guide. I think Bill gave the actual schematic to Andy at NAMM a few years back.

That being the case perhaps you could refer Funk to a specific page on the RCA guide? I suspect no amp built by any of us was ever put together with just the RCA reference, or maybe yes? I'd be surprised.
Gil,
The deep switch and the jazz position are right out of rca # Rc19 I have seen the filters in an old audio amateur I will try to find which one. General info the first three sss are completely different using cathode coupled feed back loops.

Hi Jay,
Thanks for the reply. As it were, I know the ODS circuit like the back of my hand, but Funk was talking about the SSS and Joe mentioned "LC" filters on that amp... (there are no "LC" audio filters anywhere to be found in an ODS... the only "L" is sometimes the power supply choke, sometimes there's not even that). Joe mentioned it was right out of the RCA manual and I replied to that information. I do appreciate your offer to help very much, though.
We had a brief discussion about it, and Bill sorta scribbled some stuff on a napkin or scrap of paper during the chat, but hardly something I'd call an "actual schematic".
I have the RCA manual and the Radiotron Designers Handbook on hand, and will take a look for some ideas. I somewhat doubt inductors are used, because I don't recall Bill mentioning them, and they sound like the kind of parts you normally can't buy surplus...., which we all know HAD did consistently.
