Site work over the next 24-48 hours

Post by Allynmey »

You may experience spotty connection to Ampgarage of the next 24-48 hours. We are working to upgrade the site and have Google release the bad listing...

A real PITA I'm sure, but thanks for doing it, it's a valuable resource for us all.

I've kicked off the first step of this, it's doing database back end work so things may be a touch slow for the next few hours.

The work is done to setup a clone/test. Please if you ahve time, login to the new forum, to test out that things look all there.

ampgarage.com/newforum

same username/pw etc, but don't post anything there that you don't care about, its' going to be wiped clean after we confirm it looks good.

ampgarage.com/newforum is flagged also. Probably the entire domain is flagged.

edit... I should say I'm using Chrome.

Oh it is, I'll need to get the software updated, and the old version removed before it can be removed. One of my theories is that since this site 'had' something in the past AND it's on an ancient version of PHP and PHPBB, it is just auto flagged as a security risk. once I complete the update etc, I hope the delisting requests will stick, but I can also add an api call to the google safe browsing site and see if it gets re-listed programmatically and email myself to initiate the removal process etc.

Thanks for pointing me over to this site in the first place Steve :)
