Another Head Cab finished
Here's my two hole Liverpool, called Littlefool. It's going to my absolutely amazing 14 year old nephew. I built it for him for nothin' 'cause he swears he's gonna be a rock star. When he hits it big time I'm gonna charge him $30,000 for it.

I hate the front panel. I'm gonna have a nice one made by somebody.
<edit> I just got my answer from another thread<edit>

Hey Dan, looks great. Who did the name plate and what 10" speakers are you using in the cab?
Take care,
John

The front panel is something I worked up on Microsoft Visio and then took to Kinkos. They printed it on sticky back vinyl. When I've done this before I used clear vinyl on a brass plate. It looked a lot better. I'm gonna send my artwork to Amplates and get it cleaned up. Up close it's not that cool. The speakers are 10" Eminence Legend 1058. I like them but some prefer the Ramrod.John_P_WI wrote:Hey Dan, looks great. Who did the name plate and what 10" speakers are you using in the cab?

Thanks for the info Dan, really looks nice.
I've got a 4x10 bassman that I need to fill with speakers, one channel is a pi$$ed of fender and the other is plexi / bassman bassed and I'm looking for a 10" speaker with a greenback sound...
Thanks,
John

skyboltone,
I used to do quite a bit of logo work and image editing. The key to making a clean setup is the resolution. I would use a program like Photoshop and have absolutely massive canvas size and rediculous DPI like 2000 an inch.
Then when you brought the image down to the final size there was great detail.
Then the only limiting factor is the printer.

Nice cab, skybolt! I dig it 'cuz a tweed Trainwreck is a stick in the eye for the purists.
John P: Try the Eminence Legend 10516s. They're not quite as bottom heavy as Greenbacks because they start rolling off below 100hz. They sound somewhat similar to Greenbacks because like Greenbacks they also roll off the top end for a meatier tone. I like the 10516s because two of them give me an 8 ohm load.
The 1058s are cool, too. If you want to try mixed speakers you might get something cool happening. I'd go 2x 1058s plus a Ragin' Cajun and a Lil' Buddy.
I really wish Eminence still made the alnico 10216s with the paper voice coil former. Eminence probably discontinued them because they're an easy speaker to blow. They're killer while they last!

I love that tweed with the wood face panel - very similar to what I would have done with mine if I'd had any skill with tweed...
Lucky nephew!
