First post here on TAG…I’m gathering parts (and understanding) for an upcoming #124 build. I’ve built a couple of kits (5e3 and 18 watt Plexi with 6v6’s) but have never done something of this complexity. I’m also using it as a big learning experience and an opportunity to dig deeper on understanding how and why things work.
That being said… I feel like this is an easy answer but wanted to ask here.
Currently I have a 12v transformer (Hammond 186B12) for the relays as I’ve seen recommended here. I know in the #124 layout HAD used a 6v with a voltage doubler circuit but what does it look like with 12v already coming from the transformer? Do I use the same voltage regulator?
Again, I’m sure there is a simple solution here I just haven’t found any info on it here.
Thanks! (For this and the multitudes of work that has gone into the resources here on TAG!)

Re: Relays with a 12v Transformer?
Hi Michael, welcome!
The simple answer is: look in the files section for #183. It has a fwb rectifier for a transformer with 12v.

Re: Relays with a 12v Transformer?
Thanks! This got me what I needed to know.
I’ll start a build thread here when the time comes as well.
