I started my journey to build #124. Chassis and boards were delivered today. I was lucky enough to get a set from Taylor Cox. So excellent. My question of the day has to do with power and output transformers. It seems as if Hammond and Mercury Magnetics are the 2 manufacturers that source the twin reverb transformers and choke. Is one better than the other? Seems like Mercury is substantially more expensive.
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Jumped into the rabbit hole
Heyboer also makes excellent Fender transformers.
Just plug it in, man.
Re: Jumped into the rabbit hole
Heyboer makes a Twin power transformer with an extra 6.3v tap to power your relays.
It is also capable of powering either a quad of 6L6s or EL34s.
Give them a call.

Heyboer also makes a PT with 12V tap for relays so you don't need a second transformer, Arlen is a great guy to work with.
I also get my Dumblator PTs from him.
Thier OTs are also very good.
